User's Right to Access Data and Requests

Within the framework of the rights and authorities granted to them by the KVKK, users can apply to BPGS and obtain information regarding themselves:

  • Learning whether personal data is being processed,
  • To request information regarding the processing of personal data,
  • To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, either domestically or abroad,
  • To request correction of personal data if it is processed incompletely or incorrectly,
  • Request the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the relevant legislation,
  • Request that the correction, deletion and destruction processes carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
  • To object to a result that is to the detriment of the person himself/herself, as a result of the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automatic systems,
  • They have the right to demand compensation in case they suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of their personal data.

Users who own personal data may apply to BPGS regarding the above requests through the Application Form in accordance with the LPPD. Applications are answered within thirty days from the date your request reaches us, depending on the nature of the request, in accordance with Article 13, paragraph 2 of the LPPD. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Board may be collected from the data owner by BPGS.

In accordance with the KVKK, BPGS may accept the request or reject it by explaining the reason and notify the relevant person in writing or electronically. If the request in the application is accepted, BPGS will fulfill the necessary. In accordance with the KVKK, if the application is caused by the error of the data controller, the fee received will be returned to the relevant person.

The user undertakes that the information provided to BPGS in accordance with the KVKK is complete, accurate and up-to-date, and in the event of a situation that violates this undertaking, all responsibility will belong to the user/visitors and BPGS will not have any responsibility.
